It’s two days before Tina Humphrey’s wedding and her parents, Gerald and Daphne, are expecting their daughter’s future mother-in-law for dinner. However, with infidelity, illegitimate children and a case of mistaken identity, all Daphne really wants to know is whether it’s on or it’s off!
Daphne Humphreys is lecturing her disinterested, but tolerant husband Gerald about how much work has gone into the planning of their daughter’s wedding that is to be held in two days time. The phone rings. It is their young son, Robert calling from ‘custody’. He has had a fight with his wife, who belted him on the head – but why is he in custody? Has he killed his wife in revenge?
The distressed parents had hardly put the phone down, when their distraught, mummy’s-girl daughter, Tina, bursts through the front door declaring that ‘the wedding is off!’ But it can’t be, her future in-laws are on their way from Australia for their son, Trevor’s big day.
Tina concludes that the perfect wedding day that she has dreamed of all of her life is on the verge of collapse. OK, the wedding must go ahead!
Her mother-in-law to be, Angela, arrives from the airport in time for dinner. Just as things are starting to stabilize, Monica, a ‘big busted tart’ arrives looking for the man of her dreams – Trevor – yes, the same Trevor that is getting married to Tina in a few hours time!
Will the marriage ever go ahead, or will further legal complications stop the event?
